Don Bosco Institute for Communcation (DBCAI) will offer a one-year diploma course in TV direction and Production with minimal pre-qualification requirements to celebrate the 75th year of the Don Bosco Group of Institutions in Tamil Nadu. Short term courses on Photography and Videography are also offered twice a year.

The course requires full time enrollment over 10 months, and focuses on equipping students with the practical application of media skills, while providing them a solid foundation in the theory behind modern mass media. Popular companies like Time Frames, Vijay TV and Sun TV have come forward to the students. The course will also feature regular seminars and workshops led by industry giants on skills like script writing, camera techniques, acting, editing, media planning, etc.,

The students will be given hands-on experience through projects entailing to production of short films, documentaries, advertising and music videos and computerised animations. The course commences on August 25. Admissions for the corse starts from August 5. The total fees for the course will be Rs.50,000.

Scholarships are awarded on a merit basis. The institute will also assist in securing back loans to cover the tuition costs. This diploma will serve as a launch pad for students looking to pursue higher education in the television industry and films as well. The internships programme will also help the students to gain onfield experience.
