Energy management engineering apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers and other professionals engaged in developing energy-efficient systems or monitoring energy use. Includes instruction in principles of energy conservation, instrumentation calibration, monitoring sustems and test procedures, energy loss inspection procedures, energy conservation techniques, and reoort preparation.

Energy management is a relatively new rapidly expanding field that combines expertise in management practices and strategies as well as the technical aspects of mechanical and environmental engineering.

Energy managers analyze and improve energy efficiency; implement organizational strategies for use fo alternative energy sources; direct compliance with federal and local regulations regarding hazardous materials, indoor air quality and environmental impact; and develop policy in all these areas.

The Government of India has enforced The Energy conser vation act, 2001 with effect from 1st march 2002. The Act provides mainly for efficient use energy and its conservation and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. As per the Energy Conservation Act 2001, it is mandatory for all the designated mandatory for all the designated energy consumers to get energy audit conducted by an Accredited Energy Auditor and to designate or appoint an Energy Manager.
National Level certification Examination for Energy Managers/Auditors:

Computer Integrated Manufacturing, known as CIM, is the phrase used to describe the complete automation of a manufacturing plant, with all processes functioning under computer control and digital information tying them together.

Computer Integrated Manufacturing is a system in which individual engineering, production, and marketing and support functions,pf a manufacturing enterprise ate organized into a computer-integrated system.

Functional areas such as design, analysis, planning purchasing, cost accounting, inventory control, and distribution arelinked through the computer with factory floor, functions such as materials handling and management, providing direct control and monitoring of all process operations.

Computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) may be viewed as the successor technology which links computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), robitics, numerically controlled machine tools (NTCM), automatic storage and retrieval systems(as/rs), flexible manufacturing systems (FMS), and other computer based manufacturing technology.

Major elements of computer0Aided Manufacturing (CAM) include computer integrated tool design, shop floor, technology, and manufacturing production and control technology,

Computer integrated manufacturing engineers work with other technical persons and use computer controlled systems to design products and automated processing ststems.
